Budget:
Both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop are subscriptions so I have to pay for them monthly. I got the quote for the printing from 221 Quote, I had decided to have 100 A6 sized flyers printed which I think that this will be enough to put up around Sheffield. For my merchandise I got all of my quotes from the plain-t-shirts.co.uk. From looking at the attendance of the other music festivals that are similar to mine they get an average attendance 15,000 people per day, because my music festival is new and the venue can be deemed as small when it is compared to venues of other music festivals. I think that I will have a average attendance of 1000 - 2000 people. Therefore I wanted to have 1000 of each piece of merchandise and I think that this will be enough. By adding up the cost of the equipment the grand total come to £6849.92, so I would need around £7000 to get all of the material ready for the music festival. I have not included the cost of getting someone to design the logo and that is because I will be the one that will design it.Profit:
If there was an average attendance of 2000 people and the tickets for the event cost £50, then that should make £100,000. That would leave me with a profit of around £93,000 however, one of the things that I would have to consider is how much I would have to pay the artists to preform at the festival. The three main acts would have to be paid more than the others, it is most likely that after paying for all of the artist I would end up with a very small profit for my first year.
Legal and ethical:
My campaign would be moderated by the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) so I would have to make sure that all of my graphic designs and adverts follow their guidelines.
Some of the sponsors for my events are alcohol chains and they have to be included on my print based adverts. This is also an indication as to what you will be able to buy whilst at the event. I have to be careful on how I present this on my advert so that it doesn't seem like I am promoting irresponsible drinking.
I need to be cautious when making my my graphic designs to make sure that it doesn't include something that may offend someone. I could avoid causing offence to someone by designing some pieces that fit round my intended target audience.
I need to make sure that that anything that I am advertising does not have any information that may be misleading to the public. This can be avoided by leaving out things that I can not control my self and only include things that are certain to happen. However somethings may be unavoidable for example if an artist cancels at the last minute or if the weather on the day is too bad to carry out the event.
